COMMISSION INFO:
For Portrait Paintings, I work from photos for reference.
I like to have 1 photo that is the "pose" that you
desire and a few more for color and personality. You can email
the images or send hard copies in the mail. Once I receive them
we can talk about the size, medium and pricing.
Pricing is based on size and complexity. Once I understand
what you would like, I will work up a price quote for you to
approve.
PAYMENT:
- Paypal, Check, Money Order or Credit Cards (AMEX, Visa, MC,
Discover) Excepted. Payment arrangements on portraits over $300
available.
- Full payment is due before painting ships, unless payment
arrangements have been made - I will send you a final proof of
the painting and an Invoice.
- A 50% deposit is required on portraits over $300. On larger
paintings, I will accept a 1/3 deposit.
- A signed Commission Agreement is required for portraits over
$500.

Oil painted on high quality pre-stretched canvas.
If a non-standard size is requested, additional fees may be added
for custom stretched canvas.
Watercolor and Graphite - Done on high quality
paper. Size is determined by image size. Painting will be done
on larger sized paper to allow for matting or you can have the
painting cropped to fit your frame.
Watercolor on Canvas - new canvas coated for
watercolor painting. Advatages are - you do not need to frame
as the finished painting is covered with a protective UV clear
coat, sides of canvas are painted allowing for direct hanging
on wall.
- MULTIPLE SUBJECT PAINTINGS AVAILABLE - I can
combine a mixture of photos into one...Can't get your Puppy and
your Child to sit perfectly still to have their picture taken?
Would you like a collage...say a Head Shot Portrait with a Full
Body Shot and you pups favorite toys all in one image? Done!
Have tons of photos of your kids & want Sally from picture 1
and Joey from picture 2? No problem! Send in as many pics as
you want. Tell me about them. Which do you like the best. Which
shows the best expression. Why is your thumb in the picture?

- BACKGROUND COLOR will be determined by the artist.
In some cases a background is not necessary (depending on the
subject)...if a desired color or background element is desired,
please let me know! A more complex background, like a landscape,
may add to the price. This will be determined before the painting
is started.
- IMAGE - Simply send a nice quality digital picture
to work from. I can work from multiple images, but prefer one
good picture to use as the master and additional pictures that
may show color, expression, or other elements.

- PROOFING - Once the artwork is finished, a full color
image will be emailed for your approval. I do not charge for
changes, but note...watercolor is nearly impossible to change
once it is down. I can manipulate it to a degree, but major changes
usually require a complete redo (but, this has not happened to
me yet...knock on wood).
- FRAMING is available. Fees for shipping, cost of frame
and labor will be charged. I can give you some suggestions on
frame style/matting, etc. I normally suggest a simple White Archival
Matte with a Nice Black or Natural Wooden Frame.
- SHIPPING is included in pricing for US Domestic Packages
- unframed only. Ship via USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground depending
on size of package. International, please contact me for pricing.
- OTHER - I also paint landscapes, buildings, horses,
birds, fish - you name it! Just ask if you have a certain project
that you would like painted!
